Blaise-Philippe Chaumont

Blaise-Philippe Chaumont is an expert in tax and business law. He acts on behalf of companies, private clients and investment funds, in consultancy and litigation, particularly for real estate and in the context of international transactions.

A former senior civil servant and banker, over the course of his career he has developed experience and recognized expertise in international and real estate taxation, combined with cross-disciplinary legal and financial skills that enable him to understand all aspects of cases.

Blaise-Philippe has held high-profile positions within the tax administration and in ministerial offices. He advised on the tax policy of Christine Lagarde and Eric Woerth, deputy chief of staff of François Baroin and chief of staff of Valérie Pécresse. Blaise-Philippe also worked as a banker in London at the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development).

Before joining Chaumont Quéré & Associés, Blaise-Philippe was a partner of a large French firm before founding his own firm. He is a graduate of Institut d'Etudes politiques de Paris (1994), Ecole Nationale d'Administration (1999) and has a post-graduate degree (DESS) in business law and company law consultancy from the University of Cergy.  He has been recognised by its peers as "Best Lawyer" in tax law since 2017 by the American publisher Best Lawyers.  He is a member of the International Fiscal Association and the Institute of Tax Consultants (IACF).
